This is a drumming group that promotes women learning drumming by organizing drum workshops, drum circles, and drumming events. A core group of experienced women drummers, some from the Batucada Belles, a Brazilian drum group, play at social justice events. Opportunities to learn to drum, and opportunities to play at social justice events in the Boston Area will be promoted on this meetup.
We are creating a monthly drum circle in Quincy, MA to build community, have fun and to share the powerful experience of drumming. Our freestyle drum circle will include meditation and creative activities to awaken our spirits and connect us to our authentic rhythm. Everyone is welcome- new and experienced drummers alike.
